Sawyer's New Room

The painting in Sawyer's room is all done now and I can't wait to finish decorating.  We are in the process of re-doing and moving Sawyer into a new room.  His room is going to have a rustic, Adirondack theme so the paintings really add to that feel.  We love the way it turned out.
I just love this little cardinal.

Cute little cub!
One side..... finished and awesome!

I wish I could take credit for the painting but
I only had the "idea" of the painting.

Thanks Sue for a fantastic job!  We all love it.

Weekend at the Water Park

We spent the weekend in Lake George at the Great Escape Indoor Water Park.   While it was freezing outside, we enjoyed a warm day inside with friends.

Our chunky monkey!

Sawyer and Dave in the lazy river.

I think this was Sawyer's favorite part of the park.

Maybe next year Sawyer can ride the tubes through the tunnels.

Sledding and Snuggles

Sawyer went sledding today with daddy and loved it.  The wind was blowing, it was freezing cold, and he had a big grin on his face the whole time.   Guess we'll be bundling up more often.

I couldn't resist a couple pictures of our cutie this morning
while he was reading books with Daddy.

I didn't take the time to put snowpants on Sawyer because I didn't think he'd be out for more than a few minutes. OOOOPS!!  This face plant happened right before we came inside.
Loving the outdoors.

My boys!

Emma and Sawyer

We had Mike, Julie and Emma over for dinner recently.  Emma is such a cutie.  Sawyer really likes to play with her.

Emma sitting at Sawyer's table like a big girl!!!

Sawyer was teaching Emma how to climb on the gate.
Not so sure that Julie will appreciate this later.
Emma was saying "Be careful, this thing might tip."

Emma waiting for her turn,

What fun, fun, fun...

Holidays in Michigan

We spent Christmas and New Year's in Michigan with Sandy's family.  Sawyer had a great time playing with all his cousins.  We don't get to see everybody there too often so we made the most of our time together.

Sawyer and Alyssa snuggling before bed.

Sawyer was very excited about this doll cradle
even though it was a gift to his cousin Blaire.

The kids looked so cute in the sweaters and hats that we got them.
(Blake missed being in this picture)

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!!!

The weather outside was frightful, but the fire was so delightful.  Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

This and That

You have all probably seen enough of the ice storm but I'll add my 4 pictures worth.

While we were snuggling by the fire,
Sawyer remembered what he did at 5 months old.

This poor birch tree is still leaning.  I hope it recovers.

Our bear is wearing his holiday best!

Holiday Party at the Priestly's

We went to a Holiday Party at Laura and Brian's over the weekend.  I didn't get too many pictures because we were chasing Sawyer most of the night.  Brian made a delicious meal and dessert as usual.

He's going to be off and running really soon.

Our Big Night Out

Dave and I had a night out on Friday.  Normally, this would not be worth mentioning but Sawyer stayed at Brad and Clarissa's for the night and we haven't left Sawyer overnight in over a year.  He had a great time there and we had a wonderful night out.  We went to The Melting Pot for dinner Friday. Saturday we had a shopping day together.

This was probably the only time he was still!

Clarissa made cookies with Sawyer on Saturday.

"I wish mommy would make these cookies!"

Sawyer learned a few things while we were away.
How to get into a rocking chair was one of them.

Sawyer wasn't on his best behavior the entire time.

A Huge THANK  YOU to Brad and Clarissa for keeping our
little monkey overnight!  They even said they'd do it again.

Emma's 1st Birthday Party

Sunday, November 30th was Emma McCoy's 1st Birthday.  We can hardly believe it was a year ago that we held this little peanut for the first time.  She is so, so, so sweet.  We love that Emma and Sawyer are close in age. They'll be buddies for life!!

Sawyer really liked the chocolate suckers!
